Application Process

The application process for teaching in South Korea, is something like this:

1. Fill out an online application.
The application needs to have a few things attached. You need:
a. A resume
b. A list of your experience working with children and teaching children.
c. A color photo, (which employers use in place of an in person interview).

2. Applicant is screened by the recruiters.
Some basic things they are looking for include:
a. Under 40 years of age
b. Bachelor's degree
c. Work history with kids
d. Nationality requirement - you must be a Native English speaker

3. Applicant is submitted to the schools
They get to look over everything and then decide if they want to continue on to the phone interview.

4. Applicant is interviewed by the prospective school
In this part of the process, the schools already know if they like you or not. The interview is more of a way to hear the teacher and let the teacher ask any questions to the school.
The school usually decides within a day or two if they like the teacher, and if they do, they send a contract.

5. After the contract is sent and then signed, we start the Visa process.

And that is the application process for teaching in South Korea. That all sounds easy right? It is. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Sorry, give me a minute, I was laughing to myself.
